Our Top 5 Bohemian Rhapsody Parodies

While searching YouTube for a list of Bohemian Rhapsody cover versions, we came across a few parodies which we thought were really funny, and we could see that a lot of effort had been put into the rehearsals, studio preparation and video production. So, while we’re on this topic in the last couple of weeks, we thought it would be timely to share the following Bohemian Rhapsody parodies with our readers, and hope that you will find them entertaining as we did.

The following Bohemian Rhapsody parodies are listed in no particular order of preference, but the first one below had us cracking when we first heard it.

1Jamaican Rhapsody by Ronald Reggae

“I don’t know why this is age restricted. This is awesome creativity at its best. Freddie is smiling up there!”

We are tickled by Ronald Reggae‘s play of words in the lyrics that draws reference to marijuana, and the reggae beat to the music certainly add a refreshing twist to the original rhythm of the song. The song is performed in a Jamaican accent with slangs and colloquialisms that may sound foreign to those who don’t speak Jamaican or do ganja. Not surprisingly, given the references to drug use, YouTube states that this age-restricted video may be inappropriate for some users. Well, for the sake of entertainment, just hit “I understand and wish to proceed” and watch it!

2Opinion Rhapsody by Dustin & Genevieve

“This is hilarious! This sums up social media in a nutshell!”

Here’s another parody of this song that we found not only to be amusing but rather close to the original rendition in terms of its music. Humorous as it may be, the lyrics are quite an accurate depiction of the problems we find on social media these days, but we love how the words just seem to roll off their tongues like as if these were the words to the original song. Kudos to the Dustin and Genevieve on a satirical video well done!

3Brohemian Rhapsody by CollegeHumor

“Brian, Freddie, John and Rodger would all love this…”

“What’s up bro?” Yeah, that’s the “bro” that has found its way into the BROhemian Rhapsody parody video by CollegeHumor. CollegeHumor is well-known for their many satirical videos on YouTube, and we found this one on the Queen song to be done quite well. It has a good show of humour, and the singing and lyrics are put together quite well.

4Bohemian Rhapsody With Footballers by TheExplodingHeads

“Thank you…you taught me how to pronounce their names…”

We didn’t really find this one to be funny, but we’re amazed by how they have managed to put the names of all the footballers in this video to rhyme with the original lyrics of the song. It must have taken them quite a bit of effort to come up with the matching names and photos of the footballers as the video plays out. Points for the play of words, not so much the slapstick content.

5Bohemian Carsody by SketchSHE

“What did they do at ‘easy come, easy go’…?”

Depending on what you expect from a parody, you’re gonna either like or hate this one. For this article, we have initially planned on posting videos of this song without the original lyrics – that is, the song should have its own creative twist to the lyrics. However, we’re making an exception to this one by SketchSHE, because they are just hilarious! While some may think there isn’t much originality in this video because the original Queen recording is just played at high speed, we find their antics to be borderline slapstick. And…most in the comment section of the video find the girl on the right to be hot! Hot or not, over 30 million views is no small accomplishment!
